Oak Brook College of Law
Celebrating 25 years of Christian Legal Education
What began 25 years ago with a desire to provide Biblically-based and character-focused legal education is now an established and growing educational institution. In April 1995, Oak Brook College of Law and Government Policy held its first new student orientation with 49 students. Most of these students were home educated and qualified to study law by successfully taking CLEP exams to satisfy California’s minimum educational requirements to study law.
Since then over 300 students have graduated from OBCL and are now serving in various legal and government policy positions around this country and others, including Australia, Canada, and Africa. We are grateful to God for His blessing and provision over these last 25 years. We are also so grateful for the men and women who served over the years as faculty, administrators, teaching assistants, and mentors to challenge and train students to pursue their calling. Several of these dedicated individuals have served from the very beginning of the school to the present day. The community of alumni is vibrant and motivated to support OBCL in its continued efforts to improve the quality and scope of legal education. THANK YOU!
Every Bible-believing Christian acknowledges that one is saved by grace through faith in Jesus as Messiah and not because of any good works we may have done (Ephesians 2:8-9). But Christians also recognize that each of us are created to do “good works” to bring glory to their Father in heaven (Ephesians 2:10; Matthew 5:16). Oak Brook College continues in its mission to train advocates of truth, counselors of reconciliation, and ministers of justice. Oak Brook College welcomes all who have a desire to use their God-given abilities to make a difference in law and government policy to apply for admission.
As we remember the past and plan for the future, we continue to give thanks to the One from whom all blessings flow.
